Richard D. Bandi, 59, of McMurray, died unexpectedly, Saturday, March 10, 2018 in his home of natural causes.
He was born, July 5, 1958 in Pittsburgh, a son of Richard J. and Joan Liston Bandi.
Mr. Bandi was a 1976 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and studied welding at the Washington Institute of Technology.
Richard was a self-employed handyman and construction worker.
He was a member of the French Club in Canonsburg where he had served as an officer.
Mr. Bandi was a history buff and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Surviving are two brothers, Charles Bandi (Melina) of Venetia and Joseph Bandi (Debbie) of Imperial; two sisters, Rose DiNardo (Doug) of Washington and Laura Rodgers (Duane) of Sharpsburg, GA; his companion of 20 years, Diane Cushman; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands, with Rev. Carmen D’Amico as celebrant. Interment will be private.
