Sandra Carol Oliverio Phillips, 76, of Houston, passed away, Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the home of her daughter Beth, with her loving children by her side.
She was born October 5, 1941 in Houston, the daughter of the late John and Helen Carroll Oliverio.
Sandy was a 1959 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.
She had worked as a cook at Beechies Restaurant from 1974 to 2002.
Sandy was formerly married to Paul Phillips of McMurray for 27 years, with whom she had four children, Wayde Phillips (Dawn) of El Dorado, KS, Beth McCaffrey of McDonald, Shawn Phillips (Michele) of Poland, OH and Carroll Phillips of McMurray.
Her greatest joy in life was her seven grandchildren, John and James Phillips, Warrant Officer Michael McCaffrey (Kristin), Megan Tilger (Gregg), Marisa McCaffrey and Maysun and Parker Phillips; and her five great grandchildren, Matthew and Noelle McCaffrey and James, Mila and Samuel Tilger.
Also surviving are a sister, Victoria Arnone of Houston and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her loving companion of 24 years, Dennis Roskowski who died in 2013; her brother, John R. “Butchie” Oliverio; and an infant grandson, Matthew McCaffrey.
At the request of the deceased, all arrangement are private and have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
