Sharon M (Loughman) Rutan

Sharon M. Rutan, 79, passes away peacefully, Thursday, November 2, 2023.

She was born November 9, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of the late Charles and Florence Clutter Loughman.

Sharon was a 1964 graduate of McGuffey High School and was a member of the New Life in Christ Church, Washington.

She loved flower gardening, cooking, baking, decoration for every holiday and spending time with her neighbors.  Her true joy was as the primary care giver to her son Charlie.

Her husband, Jack Rutan died September 20, 2020.

Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Burgess (William) of Houston; three sons, Harry Hartzell of Butler, Roger Hartzell (Nikki) of Bethel Park and Charles Rutan of E. Liverpool, OH.; a brother, Ronnie Loughman (Rose) of Prosperity; a sister, Shirley Miller of Prosperity; a brother-in-law, Barry Rutan of E. Liverpool, OH; a sister-in-law, Linda Rutan of Washington; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, a brother Nelson Loughman is deceased.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation.  A memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023 in New Life in Christ Church, 600 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301.
