Walter S. McDonald

Walter S. McDonald, 79, of Canonsburg, died peacefully, Thursday, October 20, 2022, in his home with family at his side.

He was born January 9, 1943, in Hickory, a son of George and Margaret Orum McDonald.

Walter had worked for Hahn’s Greenhouse, Canonsburg Pottery, Ryan Homes and MAC Plastics.

He loved spending time with family especially his nieces and nephews.

Walter enjoyed playing solitaire and doing wordsearch puzzles.

Surviving are four sisters, Claire Bushko (the late Joe) of Muse, Laura Andreolli (the late Rudy) of Washington, Dorothy Workman and Daisy Nocki (the late Albert) both of Canonsburg; four brothers, George McDonald (Shirley) of Muse, Wilbert McDonald of Canonsburg, Kenneth McDonald (Alice) of Washington and Albert McDonald (Tammy) of Muse; and many nieces and nephews he love like they were his own.

Deceased are a sister, Margaret Petermen; and a brother, John McDonald.

A memorial service to celebrate Walter’s life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 29, 2022, in the Son’s of Italy, 3, Murdock St., Canonsburg, PA 15317.

Services have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
