Warren Liberatore Obituary

Warren E. Liberatore, 80, of Canonsburg, formerly Denbo and Low Hill, died April 6, 2024, in Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born April 13, 1943, in Brownsville, a son to the late Anthony and Louella Staye Liberatore.

Warren was a 1961 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School and attended Columbia Prep. Military School in Washington DC.  He was a graduate of California State College (presently Penn West California), where he received his BS degree in Industrial Art and Education and his Masters of Education in Industrial Arts.  His memberships included, Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity, Kappa Chapter and Epsilon Pi Tau International Honorary Professional Fraternity in Industrial Arts Vocational Education and a life member of American Industrial Arts Association.

Mr. Lib began his teaching career in the Beaver Falls School District, first in metal shop with the middle school and graphic arts (printing) department when he moved to the high school. He spent 32 years in the Bethel Park School District where he taught graphic arts, drafting, power tech, woodworking, and principles of technology.  He retired in 2001 as department chairman.

Warren worked with youth, his entire adult life.  He coached T-ball for Chartiers-Houston, was a leader for the Royal Rangers at Central Assembly of God Church in Houston and coached small bore rifle for the Frazier Simplex Jr. Rifle Club for many years.  He was instrumental in helping form the Frazier Simplex 4-H Rifle Club and served as a coach.  With his granddaughter Jocelyn, Warren went on many matches including Camp Perry, Ohio and Nebraska. He also served as coach for the Washington High School rifle team.

He had a sense of humor like none other and was beloved for his ability to make anyone laugh.  The only thing bigger than his laugh was his heart.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Houston where he served as a trustee and volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program.

On August 8, 1964, he married his love, Peggy St. Clair who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Brent J. Liberatore of Washington; a granddaughter, Jocelyn Liberatore of Washington DC;  a brother, A. Allan Liberatore (Bonnie) of Cecil; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, a brother Jerome Liberatore is deceased.
