Amelia was always a good neighbor and she will be missed around here. She was a sweet, good Christian lady.

Although it has been a very long time since I've seen her, "Aunt Mel" was a person who I never forgot after all these years. The mother of my Godfather, Lee, and the sister of my first cousins' grandmother, Ms. Margaret, "Aunt Mel" was no doubt a member of my extended family, as I spent many summers in Houston, many of them right next door to her house. When I would visit Mt. Olive, she was always first person I saw upon entering the doors. She was always a sweet and kind, and I will always remember her humorous spirit. I wish to offer my deepest sympathy to the family as well as my thoughts and prayers during this time of bereavement.
