Francis W. “Ace” Adams, 81, of Houston, died Friday, June 9, 2017 in Family Hospice of Pittsburgh.
He was born March 4, 1936 in Houston, a son of Owen and Anna Hagerman Adams.
Mr. Adams was a 1954 graduate of Chartiers High School where he was the State Wrestling Champion at 103 lbs. that same year.
Ace managed Route 19 Bowl in Washington and the Jefferson Lanes in Canonsburg for many years. He also enjoyed golfing.
On February 25, 1957, he married Betty Thomas who passed away December 22, 1995.
Surviving are two sons Joseph E. Adams of Walkersville, MD and Brian Adams and his wife Zana of McMurray; four grandchildren, Leah, Kirsten and Tim Adams and Beth Fisher; four great grandsons, Colton Stunkard, Caiden Fisher and Zachary and Evan Adams; a brother, Terry Adams and his wife Sharon of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, David Adams is deceased.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 with Rev. Seth McPherson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
