Shirley M. (Armstrong) Raymond

Shirley M. Raymond, 80, of Houston, died Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Canonsburg Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born August 12, 1935, in Gilmore, a daughter of William and Helen Chappel Armstrong.

Mrs. Raymond had worked at the former RCA in Meadow Lands, Showcase Cinemas in Washington and in the cafeteria for the Chartiers-Houston School District.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her only precious granddaughter, Alexis.   She also enjoyed traveling and the casino.

On August 10, 1963, she married Louis F. Raymond who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Louis F. Raymond Jr. (Jodi) and Ronald P. Raymond (Jacqueline) both of Washington; a granddaughter, Alexis Marie Raymond; two half-sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are three brothers and several half-brothers.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016.  Interment will follow in Venice Cemetery, Cecil Twp.
