Amy Leigh Ayres Turney, 49, of Houston, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in her home.
She was born September 18, 1966, in Washington, a daughter of James Ayres Sr. of Houston and the late Judith Blough Ayres.
Mrs. Turney was a 1984 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and a 1999 graduate of International Beauty School in Cumberland, Md.
She had worked as a bartender at the Slovak Club in Canonsburg where she was also a member.
Mrs. Turney enjoyed crafts and loved her faithful dog, Abby.
Surviving in addition to her father are: two sons, William Turney (Ashley Athey) of Cumberland, Md. And Benjamin Turney of Bedford; two brothers, James Ayres Jr. and Douglas Ayres both of Houston; four uncles, Robert Blough (Marianne) and David Ayres both of Houston, Joseph Ayres (Barbara) of Canonsburg and Thomas Ayres of Washington; three aunts, Janice Bramer (David) of Houston, Barbara Dellorso of Washington and Nancy Ufolla (Tony) of Houston; and many cousins.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
