This was a shock. I worked with Opie at WCHA for several years. He was such a special person....always smiling and such a good guy to everyone he met. My condolences to Lou Ann, family and also Niki.

I am very saddened to learn the Opie has died. What a wonderful person he was. I have fond memories of hanging out at his home with Grace, talking, laughing and partying and eating! He had that infectious personality that you could not help but love. Its been many years since we have seen each other but he holds a special place in my heart always. They broke the mold when he was born. He is now at home looking over everyone he loved. God Bless You Opie, say hi to Elaine for me..

I am only learning of this being the date and time of service after returning home from a previous commitment. Unfortuately, it is too late to make the service. This being said, please know that Opey and family are in my thoughts and prayers. Worked with Opey at WCHA. He was a good guy, taken from his family way too soon. My heart goes out to you.

I'm in complete shock. I've known you and your family since forever. All those long drives to Indiana to school. You looked so great when I saw you just a few years ago. Perhaps there is another rock with a pond and if there is I know John and razor were there to greet you with many others. I hope you will be for me too. After all us Allison kids had a bond that could never really be broken. You were loved! I'll miss your smile most. RIP Opie!

Uncle Gary will be missed! He was always interested in our lives and supportive of our pursuits. I'm so happy that he and Madio became instant buddies. We love and miss him already. Hugs and love to you, Aunt LouAnn.

Uncle Gary was a loving, kind hearted, passionate, bundle of energy. The kids followed him everywhere. He was a die hard Steelers fan! (We loved him anyway) He will be missed.

Gary has always been such an important part of our family. . . full of life, helpful to all, enjoyed everything. He loved our family and the entire family loved him. We can perhaps honor him by being generous and helpful to others, as he was. The impact he made lives on.

There are no words to express how shattered my heart is. Gary was the best of the best. My bowling buddy. My Turkey dance partner, dirty dog dancer. He loved his belly rubs and he'd shake his leg and howl like a dog. He always had a smile and hug for everyone. That smile... beautiful and infectious. I love you Gary and you will be missed more than you could imagine. Love Hope
